I received one of these on my door (as did my neighbor across the street), and I (and my neighbor) too recently purchased my house. Fortunately for me, I have already installed security cameras on my house and I have footage of the guy leaving the tag on my door and never ringing the bell or knocking on the door. I will be copying the footage to a cd for the police/sheriff
Just found the same notice in our mailbox asking us to call back with our confirmation number .We live in Texas Dallas area. They also ave an alternate number in Fort Worth 817-259-0273.Notice is from "Total Home Distribution".In reading all of the posts it is a scam. I called the number after hours to determine who they were before going on the computer.A pleasant male voice said "Sorry we missed you. Please leave your phone number and confirmation number and we will call you back and have a pleasant evening"The notice was written in ink which means someone actually came to my house and delivered it,no stamp etc.We are new homebuyers and It is scary on how they find this information.
Needless to say do not call them, make sure you remove them from your door/ mailbox so they know you are home daily, and report them to your local non-emergency police dept.I will be looking at my mailbox many times throughput the day to see if I can catch the creep who delivers these. It will say 2nd attempt to give you a sense of urgency to call,we never received the first notice,be aware !
I too am a new home owner here in Fort Worth, TX. We have been in our home for exactly one month now. I heard a car pull up and as I looked out the window, some young looking kid was running back to his vehicle. There wasn't a knock at the door, the doorbell didn't ring or anything. He left a (Sorry we missed you!) slip taped to the front door, 1st attempt was checked on it. He came and went so quick, I didn't have anytime to get to the door before he sped off. It also was hand written in ink, With my husbands full name on it. And a number with a confirmation number on this slip. It says it was delivered by (Total homes) Dallas phone number 214-717-6394 and a Fort Worth number of 817-259-0273. I tried looking them up on the internet, they want my husbands name and to type in the confirmation number, then add a phone number. Not happening!!! Going to have my husband try calling them, if they actually answer. My husband isn't a nice person when he thinks he's being scammed! I'm sure if there is an answer, they will just hang up on him. I hope I catch hem next time, if there is going to be a next time, after all, the slip says this is only the first Attempt!

I also am a new home buyer and I received one of the notices on my door that everyone is talking about. There is a sign next to my door that clearly states NO SOLICITING. I contacted the local district attorney's office and they took the complaint. They said to beware of this "Company" as they have received many complaints about them. TOTAL HOME DISTRIBUTION IS A SCAM! DO NOT CONTACT THEM or they will also have your phone number. Report them to your local governing authorities!
