Kathy called me and told me that she would like to speak to me because she recieved my resume, and thinks I would be a good fit for an executive position. I told her I am a software engineer, and no where near an executive position, and then she said they place people in all sorts of jobs. I couldn't really find too much information on them, so I decided to have a phone conference with her boss.
He called right on time the next day, and asked me some typical interview questions, including if I had a family, how important it was for me to find a job, and how badly did I want a job. Once I heard these questions, I knew something was fishy. I kept asking him point blank if they were trying to sell me on something, and he said that no, their first meeting was no charge to me. However, there were other "services" that they can provide, for a fee. He said a few times that they offer "fee based services." SCAM! The US Government specifically says that no one should have to pay to get a job, and these people are trying to get you to do just that! Since I kept asking questions, and getting silence in return, he could probably tell that he couldn't sell me anything, and told me that I was resistant to getting a job, and dubious of their services, and that he would send me an email with some more specific information the next day. Needless to say that I never got that email, as he probably didn't want that information out there. Be careful. There is probably a reason you can't find much information on this company on the internet. Good luck with your job searches!
Just a follow up. Looks like a recruiting company (http://www.ncbijobs.com/). Shady, seems like one of those companies that try to take your money to "market" you to certain "potential" employers.
These guys called me also, stating that I had submitted a resume to them, and they wanted to schedule a conference call with me for an executive position. I asked them point blank if they were trying to sell me anything, as I looked on my contact list while speaking with the person who called me, and confirmed that I had not submitted a resume to them. The lady that called me said no, they were a placement firm, and that they were not trying to sell me anything, but refused to set up the conf call anytime outside the hours of 10 am - 4 pm. Since a real recruiting firm is in the business of making money, and is willing to talk with you after normal business hours, that tipped me off that these guys were not a real recruiting firm. And this web site just confirmed that for me.
My guess is these guys pull resumes off of the job boards like Monster, Dice, etc. So if you get a call from them, just be aware that they are trying to sell you their services, and that they are NOT a recruiting firm that is in the business of placing people.
