Texas is a one party state, but I would think that you would have an expectation of privacy on your front porch. I would attempt to file criminal charges.

I was at home and someone knocked on my front door, as I got up to get the door my cell phone rang and I silenced it not knowing who the caller was. The guy at the door was a salesman for Suddenlink (internet and cable tv provider) and I dismissed him from my door. A minute or two later the voicemail popped up on my phone and I listened to see who I missed, it was my entire conversation with this guy Ron Hill just now at my front door! He had knocked and somehow had my phone number and called me from my front porch while trying to solicit me. I'm contacting their corporate office today and discussing it with them as I seriously don't think they would be condoning this type of marketing.
