This number called and caller ID shows Keith Daugherty. I answered and he (prob not his real name), proceeded to tell me my computer had a virus. I told him that it doesn't and that I am reporting him to the Federal government . He hung up.
I recieved a call from this number as well today. Caller ID shows Keith Daugherty 214-824-3252. a recorded automated msg came on stating ""Executed by the US treasury department regarding a tax fraud against your name ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense so before this matter goes to federal claims court house or before you get arrested. Kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible. The number to reach us is 845-234-4343. Let me repeat the number which is 8452....". Total SCAM. this number either comes up and they say i have a computer issue or not Tax fraud.
Received a call from a person unknown to me: Keith Daugherty, from phone number 214-824-3252 - I did not answer and no message was left on my voicemail; however; based on the many people this person/scam artist has called recently - I believe this to be a hacker-related or other scam.
This number is being spoofed by the people doing the Canada Revenue refund/tax owing scam. They initially called from 1-855-881-8146 but when I asked them if they were the same Canada Revenue tax scam people that the police told us to avoid they hung up on me. The nerve! Since then it's just the so scary recording . . . especially since most people are aware that the Canada Revenue service does not call from TEXAS area code . . . idiots.
