Bloodworth car 214-838-2465 called, this time I had a few minutes to waist so I ansered the phone,,,,, Hello, Ajax liquor store, I could hear someone but I guess they didn't know how to respond and hung up on me!
A man with a thick accent in a very noisy room, called from 214-838-2465 to tell me that my computer was downloading malicious software. Since I am a computer technician, and I have heard of this scam, I thought I'd humor him for a minute. I let him describe the issue and then I asked him what version of Windows I am running. He replied with Windows 10. I do have that OS, but I told him that I have a Mac. He stammered for a few seconds, then told me that I still had the issue even though I had a Mac. I then told him that he was a liar and a scammer and told him never to call me again and hung up.
Microsoft or "Windows 10" as he claimed to be calling from, do not monitor your computer, and do not call to offer to fix your computer. I guarantee you that this is a scam and encourage everyone to ignore these callers.
2016-07-11 Two calls: 0635 MST & 0735. No ID. Voice w? South Asian accent. Said from Microsoft and there was a problem with my computer. Call 1 - I immediately hung up. Call 2 - after picking up I listened for several seconds to no response -is robo dialler waiting for voice response? -and hung up.
