As soon as you would do that, they could use your number and you have to pay for. I called my phone company, and they told me this. Good that I said no and hung up.

call from DLS Co. (Dallas jail) requesting us to pick up the phone and pay collect. They call about 1-3 times a day.It is a nuisance and obvious we are being used. We have never picked up any of these calls. We screen.
Some you may know is in jail in dallas, tx. As for my call, I know exactly who it is and its someone i've been ignoring. If they call you and you are on a cell phone, you have to setup funds by calling the 800 number they will provide if you try to accept the call. Minimum amount to put on your account is 30$. Also, if you are the first person you call, you have the option to have a free, three minute, phone call. If you decide to put funds on your account, tell them to call right back so you can accept the collect call and it go through the prompts, then write down the 800 number. Also, tell them to call back a 2nd time after you put money on from the previous step/callabout 15 minutes later.
