They call with your name and other info (SS# etc) and tell you they have a summons from the county you're in. You can choose to battle this in court, or pay them now and they wont send you the summons. Convenient. It's a scam. Hang up the phone.
I just received a phone call from this number, I said hello and they said nothing on the other line so I called them back. When I did so a woman transferred me to some man who was very rude. He told me that I had taken out a payday loan in 2010 and had a wire transfer to a bank account through Wells Fargo. When I began asking him questions he told me to shut my mouth and told me that I was lying! I don't know who these people are but when I find out the name of this company I will be filing some sort of grievance against them and reporting them!
The same thing happened to me today! I had to freeze my crest card. I was lucky to catch this before it was to late!! This Guy has not heard the last from me!!
