I've received 7 phone calls today in the space of three hours from this company - all from different phone numbers and all recorded messages about obtaining a credit card machine for my new business. I did register online for a sales tax permit about ten days ago so now I'll have these calls to look forward to every day. I guess the State of Texas Comptrollers Office's records are public. I already get about 5 - 10 nuisance calls from telemarketers daily to deal with. I'm going to cancel my landline service and take my chances with just a cellphone because I cannot stand to deal with this type of harassment.

Same thing, I registered last week online for sales tax ID number and I am getting bombarded with calls. About 40 calls in the last half an hour. Some are Texas but also from various states, but this is ridiculous. Most have not left voice mails but the few that have mentioned something about talking to me in the past (none have) and want to offer a credit card reader to my new business.
