I keep getting this call and they asked us where we lived my sister had answered it, she then got 3 questions 1. What's your name, she replied 2. How old are you? She replied again. Then question three 3. Where do you live? She didn't reply I hung up the phone and my family is now scared.
I got a call from this number and I was so stupid I let him have remote control. he hung up when I said I would not pay him to fix it. what just happened. is he stealing all my information or putting viruses in? now, what should I do?
Said he was "Edward from the computer maintenance center, how are you, sir?" When I answered "I'm fine" he hung up on me. I think it's the "you need to let us connect to your PC and update it" scam.
Got another call from these idiots again today. I'm a UNIX user and don't own a Windows computer so I decided to play along to see what they wanted. When I asked which one of my Windows computers was sending them all of these errors, he said "all of them". When I asked how they knew I had a Windows computer, he said their mainframe was getting errors from MY computer. I then asked what made them so sure I had a Windows computer and how they were sure it matched the phone number he had called, he hung up on me.
A friend of mine did this same thing and a week later they called back saying they were from Apple, not Microsoft.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO OR DO WHAT THEY ASK YOU TO DO!!! IT IS A SCAM!!!

They call about every 2-3 days with the same [***] message about problems with my computer not updating. He is Indian with very thick accent who says he is Microsoft Tech. When I told him I was going to file lawsuit against him for harrassment he hung up
