I get these calls on my cell phone approximately once every day, the number seems to always be different, same call though. Usually they say nothing, I actually want them to say something so I can mess with them. They have called my work number in the past also.
If you get a call from these number, immediatley hit *57. This will put a track on the number so then call Verizon and tell them you put a trace on the last caller. They can tell you the real number it originated from.
To anyone else being harassed by the people who have taken over the number 215-230-9706 - contact the Federal Do Not Call folks, at http://donotcall.gov. Make sure the number they called is registered with Do Not Call, and then if they call you again you can file a complaint against them (which I just did.)
K Griffin, sorry this is happening to you - other posters, please see her remarks here before posting anything about whose number it is, the poor thing is going through hell b/c some telemarketers bought her number...
I intend to sue them, if I can figure out who they are. I am an attorney and love a fight. I have requested repeatedly not to be called by this party. I am on the national do-not-call list. By calling my mobile, while I am traveling in Europe has cost me for international cell calls. I am filing with the FCC. I encourage you to do the same: esupport.fcc.gov/complaints
When the FCC subponeas their phone records, they can multiply the fine for EVERY call. Let's gang up.
