Never leaves any message, calls every few days..so today I called the number back "BARRY BURNEY calling for the FOP"
Sure reminds me of a scam years ago that my elderly patents were suckered into contributing...before the individual was proved to be phony by their county.
The DNC is a database for all the agency's to use. Charity, along with some surveys and political are exempt from the federal DNC. Do try a little more direct since they won't remove you from their list as they are supposed to do when asked. They can still get into trouble. Unless of course you live in Oregon, in which the State DNC does not allow charity to call. I can't speak for any other states though.

I got a call from this number today. There is an ongoing scam pretending to be Fraternal Order of Police. It was reported here locally on Newswatch 16 News WNEP in Scranton. Fraternal Order of Police said they do not do this. Called the State Police once as WNEP instructed people to do but they acted as they usually do, Not interested. Not interested people are being defrauded by group using their name. I get this call 2 or 3 times a year. Adding to my blocked list.
i got a call from this number. when i answered they asked if it was (last name) residence. i said yes it is and they said "ok, it was nice talking to you, goodbye". cannot call the number back. it just keeps saying "thank you for your patience" over and over. then it hangs up. i have no idea what that was about. but it was worrisome.
They are Scum Bags who can't get a Reai Job! So, the Pretend to be calling ON- BEHALF of FOP or some other Lame Organization. Very Little Money actually goes to the Charity they represent.
If You donate - You'd be better Off - Just Flushing the $ Money down the Toilet or giving it to a Drug Addict ! It's a Waste.
ALSO: The Police are Highly Paid !! Every Police person, is allocated $1,000,000 towards Pension, Plus, They hve the best Benefits. Most Make near $100,000 annually plus Free Health Insurance costing over $15,000 per year, and better yet, all their dependents are covered for FREE. Put that in your ObamCare Reform! They make More than You can realize, and their Pensions are $ Million or More. Then they retire & work for County or State, and get another Paycheck & Build another Pension!
Your absolutely right they are scumbags. Recognized the post as they have called me before. I asked if he personally worked for the FOP or was it an organization that was soliciting funds for the FOP. He said they were an outside company soliciting, so I asked the name of the company and who the principals were and that threw him off guard. He stammered and asked why, and I said because I am reporting them to the attorney generals office of PA along with the real FOP organizations as a scam. He started this rant about how they are a legitimate organization, yeah. I then proceeded to find the email address for the FOP and sent an email. The FOP sent back an email that they were the national organization and their is no solicitation ordered by them from this company. He said he would check with the local FOP and see if they had any campaign going and if so tell them this guy is harassing citizens on the do not call list using the FOP name who have asked him to stop calling them. Now yesterday, I get a call from the same number and it's a Home Improvement company in Hatboro using it to scam people. What SCUMBAGS.
