I have been receiving phone calls from this number 4-5 times per week. they start off by saying they received a report of my computer not working and go on to say they are a business computer repair service for my microsoft pc. funny thing is...I don't own a Microsoft product. I have asked them to take me off their call list... their response...WE CAN'T and they hang up.
they all speak in a foreign/Middle East accent with broken English. report them!!! they are harassing me and just today my mac book had a pop up from one of these companies with a customer service telephone number of 1844 743 8738 saying I had a critical security warning. I called apple and they said it's a scam. thankfully the wonderful rep at Apple was able to walk me thru removing the warning so I could get back to using my Mac.
More than a month later and this scam/# is still at it. I answered and said nothing; just 'dead air' on the other end. Held it for 30 seconds or so; tied up their phone line for that long before it disconnected. Hopefully that was 10 fewer people they called in that time.
Caller had a foreign accent, called three times in a row one evening and once the next night "about my computer" and "Microsoft" and "it's going to crash"
Just received a call from Morrisville, PA from a guy with a foreign accent {sounding like from India} claiming to be from Microsoft saying that there were concerns about errors downloading to my computer and that my computer would crash. It was VERY obvious that he was reading from a scripted paper, as his conversation was not flowing. I stopped him in mid sentence and told him NO, this is not the case, he is a scammer, and do not call me again. Does Microsoft know this is happening??? If not, they should!!! {Below under Call Type, would this be Prank Call or Telemarketer? There is no choice for Scammer or something along those lines.}
