You'll find that if you press 2 to be removed, you'll receive MORE calls, not less. Telescammers aren't going to abide by the law or any requests to remove your number - this is what the FTC says:

Hang up on illegal sales calls. If your number is on the Registry, and you get a sales call, or you get an illegal robocall, don’t interact in any way. Don’t press buttons to be taken off the call list or to talk to a live person. Doing so will probably lead to more unwanted calls. Instead, hang up and file a complaint with the FTC.
I get calls from this number several times a week. I don't answer them and now they are blocked. People have reported this number to be a heater/electric scam call.. Do not give any of these callers personal information !
Telemarketer for a heater. It is a recording so you will not be speaking to a human if you answer which you should do and press 2 to be removed. When I tried calling back message said number not in service.
