If these people ever get hold of your phone number, they will never leave you alone. They have been calling me for over a year trying to sell me a home security system. Placement on their do not call list using their automated response system is useless. Asking their phone rep to remove your number is also useless. Asking the phone rep for the name and address of the CEO will result in a hang-up. I think nothing less than a devastating fire will stop them, and that would most likely be a temporary solution.
Robo call recorded 30 July 2013 ("Lower your rate...second and final call" )
Caller ID: "Not Available"
I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final warning..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number.
"<female voice>This is an important message about your current credit card account. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms, conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."
