Got a call from this number at 3:30AM! Didn't even bother to get up and answer the call. But since most of my family don't live in the US, I had to check with them if any of them tried to call me. Good thing, the answers were negative.
Caller says there's a problem with my computer. Funny thing is, he's calling my elderly father who doesn't own a computer & when I said there's no computer he hung up. Tried calling back but all it does is ring.
Skype phone rings, I answer, phone starts ringing as though I made an outgoing call. Foreign man answers; Indian perhaps, stating that he is calling from "The Windows Department". Seems shaken when I mentioned this being a business line and to state his business. Caller hung up.
Received call from above number stating they were from the United States Treasury Department wanting to deposit $7800.00 to my Master Card account and wanted the number. When I asked the caller for their physical mailing address, she asked why and I told her she just violated Federal law by crossing state lines to call my number when it is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. She then hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor.
called and told some vacation celebration group. Asked how they got my number as I was on a do not call list and they hung up. A lot of noise (other people speaking, not English) in background
Foreigh man by the name of Simon called from "online support". He stated that my computer was not receiving proper updates. I've heard of this scam before. The person will ask for your ip address and basically hack into your computer with your help. Typically they call from a blocked number. Just hang up.
