Comes up on caller id as "Pizzi Pizza," which is a defunct Phili Pizza parlor. Calls have been coming for months. When I answer, line is dead. When I call back, the line is not in service.
This number calls me several times a week. I used to answer it, but nobody ever talked. I now added it to my reject list, so it goes straight to voice mail, but they never leave a voice mail. When I call their number, it always says the number is out of service. I've already added them to my reject list, I don't know what else to do. Sooooo frustrating!
I have been receiving calls that shown up as Pizza Pizza for the past week and a half. 3 calls a day and never a voicemail message is left. I call back and it says uti is not a working number. I answered once and was said he was calling to see if I was interested in higher education. He had a heavy Indian accent. I td him no and please remove my number. Then another time he said ma'am please listen. I only work part time and it's hard to make ends meet. If you could just listen so my boss doesn't fire me...once again told him not to call. Tonight the same thing but I cut him off and told him I have asked over and over for you to cease calling me. Yet here you are calling again. Towards the end of the call he used the f word and was snickering. How can we stop this garbage?
We've been getting calls from this number at least once per day for the last several months. Each time I have asked them, then told them to remove the number from their calling list. We are unable to block on the phone they call on, unless we want to pay an extra fee which is what REALLY gets me. Sigh, anyway, most of the time telemarketers will honor our request for removal. These folks have not.
Yesterday when they called, I lost it and yelled (lol! Oh, my bad.) It felt kind of good actually, but of course, it DID no good. They called again today. I was prepared. I've decided to try a different method and see what happens.
First, I want to note that, usually, the person on the end of the line starts out in a politely bored voice, but often becomes quite rude, sometimes vulgar, when I keep repeating "remove this number..." (and more often than not I DO speak with someone, though I also occasionally get dead air or hung up on shortly after I answer.) Today when the call came, the man with the Indian accent started his speel. I let him talk, said No, I'm not interested in school, take us off your calling list. He told me ok, claimed he'd removed the number, but would I please just let him send me info so that he didn't get fired, blah, blah, blah. I said, "Nope, but I will do something for you. You either make sure that my number has been removed, or my number will become your company's new "employee benefit." Whenever I get a call from this number, I will simply begin to pray for the salvation of whoever is on the other end of the line." He said, "I don't believe in Jesus." I said, "Well, all the more reason for you to keep calling me. I will be happy to do this for you, or anyone else in the employment of this disrespectful company. He said he didn't want my prayers, so...I started praying for him and his employer. He interrupted a couple of times, at which point I said, Excuse me, but you have called the company prayer line, and kept praying. He finally hung up on me.
Now, to you atheists and non-believers, spare me your views on God; don't call me, and I won't pray for you. To any Believer who might be offended, don't think for one minute that I think this is a joke. I don't. I know the power of prayer quite well. I have posted the phone number on my refrigerator to remind me to pray for the people on the other end of that line. I almost hope they'll continue to call me. :)
