get call, caller ID say private caller....apparent IRS scammer. this left saturday on 08/06/2016==2nd attempt by phoneto contact this number-- --this is the IRS attempting to call about tax issue, if not receive answer in 24 hours-- a magistrate will issue warrant for your arrest. all assets will be confiscated and you will face jail..... no name in msg. the voice on answering machine sound robotic.this number 215-554-3182 was to be the return call number...as i never return call , still at home, i assume this a variant of IRS scammer calls from somewhere def not in USA. though the return number listed as from PA.....as few have my private number, and i do not check msg machine every day.all fam that have my number know i do not return private, unknown calls and to leave name and i will return call. fam know i was in hospital 2 days with sister, she had heart ablation surgery, and i stay with her..i will be contacting local police with this number. i know the IRS does not follow these steps they first send snail mail first. then one is to contact local or state irs offices ......with the state or local numbers....as i assisted an elderly aunt once many years ago, i do know procedures.plus from research it seems this type of calls are used for those deemed gullible, uninformed, or can be swayed by threats of jail...just in april local news had couple scammed in similar way, they fell for it, lost their money they had in bank, as they follow directions to a tee.....sadly they were poor elderly couple that had little money as they were on ss....they lost all that month, local churches helped pay their bills as they live month to month on that money. i despise those like this , they call many numbers hoping to get return calls.. the tip off to the scammed couple after was the caller sounded foreign but was supposedly agent john smith. and they were not to call local offices...but fear of being arrested in 24 hours threw caution to wind...please folks if you get one of these calls, ask someone that in the know.
