They called me, my husband and my son on the same day. Stated they were Fitzgerald, Goldman and assoc. and spewed alot of legal jargon. Telling us they were filing a lawsuit against my husband and me, but gave no details of what company they represented. We have their phone messages saved and we will contact the FBI. I guess you can do whatever you want and call yourself a "management consulting company". These bottom feeders need to be prosecuted!
Got a call from 215-574-1770. A man named Montel Jackson called me at work. Left a message he was calling from the legal department of Fitzgerald and Goldman Associates. Said I needed to call him back at the same number ext 1003 and reference a claim number.
Being the NON dummy I am, I looked the number up. The WhitePages brings this number up as a Ship Building company in Philadelphia, called FastShips located it 1700 Market St Philadelphia, PA 19103-3913. When I look up Fitzgerald and Goldman Associates, Google returned the top 5 results as 800notes.com results. When I look at ONE website, findthecompany.com http://listings.findthecompany.com/l/31233897 ... -Hunt-Valley-MD
They list the company as being in Maryland. Geographically, this company can not be in BOTH places. These dummies can call all they want. I will be sending them a cease and desist letter to both addresses and have reported the incident to Pa and Maryland attorney generals office as well as the FBI.
Scammers need to get a little more savvy these days. Sites like this are keeping people informed and in the know and a simple Google search of the company name and number can ruin their whole attempt

In response to the issues BBB noted with the collections practices of Goldstein Henderson & Weiss, Shakir Bilal, currently in the same capacity with Fitzgerald, Goldman & Associates, concluded, "Now that he (Leon Martin) has all resources at hand, and a stronger team of employees, Mr. Martin incorporated Fitzgerald Goldman and Assoc. in July of 2011 as a better prepared company geared towards successful debt collections, adhering to the requirements of the regulations governing our practice. To distinguish itself from the older company, Fitzgerald Goldman and Associates has a new email domain, and will be launching a website in the near future. The new company employs a newly updated online database for account management, which is separate from the proprietary system that was used by GHW, as well as utilizing a third party payment processing system, which was an in house process at Goldstein. We also have a dedicated department which handles complaints, disputes and other types of consumer correspondence, along with a Legal Dept, Human Resources and several office managers that work on the collection floor with our representatives."
However, these positive actions did not stem allegations of threats of law suits, rude and argumentative company employees when debt validation letters are requested, calls to consumers' employers, and collection personnel giving the impression they are representing a law firm. In June 2012, BBB contacted Fitzgerald Goldman & Associates to respond to these allegations and inform BBB how they might further reduce or eliminate these types of complaints.
Mr. Bilal informed BBB that "in order to further reinforce the efforts to reduce complaints, the management staff is also conducting bi-weekly reviews with floor collectors, in which individual phone calls are reviewed with the collectors and used for training purposes, as well as performance reviews." Mr. Bilal also informed BBB that they are "in close, regular communication with our client ... to keep them abreast of our methods and any issues that may arise regarding the consumers we contact while performing collections activities on their accounts." Fitzgerald Goldman & Associates has stated they "will continually strive to make improvements in areas that are identified to be opportunities to lift the business reputation and credibility." BBB will continue to monitor the marketplace conduct of the company for the results of these efforts.
They called me saying that I was being taken to court for a pay day loan from 2009. I asked them to send me all the documents since I was being sued... No response after that! Ppl need to stop this [***]!
