The first thing I heard was a recorded voice saying something on the order of "Please hold while we locate a representative for you".  Before I could hang up, a lady was on the other end and asked for one of our employees in our office.  They were not in...She asked for alternative phone number for this person.  I told her that was none of her business.  I asked her for a call back number so that this individual could return a call to them (and so that I could report this number).  She gave this number to me and then wanted to know my name...I also told her that was none of her business.   She also wanted to verify the name of our company and that this person did indeed work at our business.  She then went on to ask when the best time was to reach this employee, but by this point I had had it with her and slammed my poor phone down as hard as I could.  Oh, the troubles of a receptionist.  Assuming it was either a telemarketer or debt collector.
