Another "Windows technical support" scam. Also the # 1-219-774-9875 called 4 times in 2 hours and when I finally waited for them to pick up on their auto dial, it was the same scam. Normally I don't even bother answering numbers with unknown area codes but when I do, I hang up as soon as I hear no response to my hello.
I wasn't home when he called. I heard about this scam for the past several months. Some of these scam people are so nasty. I have started answering my phone Police Department what is your emergency, when I don't know the number. They usually hang up and don't call back. Try it, may work for you too.
This caller has called, sometimes several times a day claiming there is a virus in my computer. I told him that he couldn't possibly see that my computer has a virus and if it did, I would handle the problem. He kept insisting that it wasn't only my problem, but the "company's" problem. I threated him with police action and he called back 2 hours later. Who are these people and how do I get them to stop called me? They use different telephone numbers.
