This company is called NCO Financial. They collect debts for many firms. They left a message on my answering machine asking to call back as soon as possible. I did. Turned out they were looking for a person who doesn't work here any more. They hung up on me when I said I don't know how to reach that person.

Call the Dept of Education and ask them if your account is in collections and which AGENCY it was assigned to.

They are not allowed to call you at work if you have told them your employer does not allow it and followed up with a letter sent certified mail - return receipt. YOU CAN SUE THEM FOR FDCPA VIOLATIONS
I recived a call on sunday morning, I told they they had the wrong number. The rep. then wanted to razz me I was at church so I hung up they called right back. Two days latter they called again they asked to speak to the same person, I told them I know nothing about who they wanted the rep. then said I dont understand what your problem was so I hung up.
I recieved a call from this number today actually and every time i asked the rep who it was and can i take a message he just said this is Harry and i need to talk to the person. The funny thing is they try to trick you into thinking it is for a job or something. Its pretty messed up
They have called me 3 times in as many hours today, they let it ring maybe 3 times before hanging up, therefore no time for answering machine to get the call.
