First time to received a call. Left message without no message. Checked with search phone number and has been reported by many people. ID shows from Philadelphia, PA.
For nearly 6 months, starting in 2014, I was receiving three calls a day, several days a week from this fax service. The beeping in my ear infuriated me. I work in a busy office and sometimes don't have a chance to check the caller ID before answering. Once I did some research into the issue and determined that no one can help, I started noting the pattern and checking the caller ID around that time of day. I would get one "Unknown", followed by a "Private Caller", followed by this phone number. I made sure I didn't pick up any of these calls ... it took another 6 months for them to finally stop. This past Monday, without thinking, I picked up a "Private Caller" call and got the beeping. It has started again.
I have been getting these as well and usually in threes and as unknown ; private and thirdly the #. Rejecting the call does not seem to work.
In the past I have had success doing an " electronic trace " by dialing my service providers auto trace number. It is meant for tracing threatening , harassing , etc. calls and after a sufficient number I approach my service provider and am greeted with their usual can't do anything response. After a few more unwanted / traced call I pass all the dates time etc on to the RCMP and explain that this falls under harassment as defined by the CRTC ( here in Canada ) and that the provider is not complying ( the provider has access to the incoming # that is associated with the out going only # .. The CRTC states that the issue must be dealt with and what I would think is a courtesy call from the RCMP they " the provider " take action which experience indicates that I have been removed from the fax service provider master data base ( This is different than responding to the faxes statement to call if you don't want to receive future contact l from the advertiser who is "using the master list from the unwanted fax/call service provider. . After a while it starts again when my # finds its way back onto the list. Then ditto . Check if you have such a service via your province or state and federal laws. If enough people take the time perhaps things will change.
ps : If I recall correctly it was not that long ago that some where in NY State there was a show down between some irate recipients and a provider of fax / email services etc. My memory is that the threat of providing his personal # , emails etc was enough to get him to agree to their demands. " Squeaky Wheel Syndrome ! "
