Someone left two voicemails on our land line (9/12/14 and 9/13/14), leaving a call back number of 215-734-0228. Caller said he (Steve Martin) was with US Treasury Dept of Legal Enforcement and that there is a legal action that was being taken against us.
When I phoned back I spoke with Albert Peter employee 11525; we got disconnected. I called again & spoke with Robert Mathews employee # 11738. He asked to speak with my criminal attorney. I hung up. All 3 employees sounded like the same man with a slight accent (Hindu? British?); there was background noise as if he was sitting in a busy call center.
I have filed a complaint with the US Treasury on their website: website: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml
I received this same call, again twice today... I had a similar call last Monday, However, 1-877 number (linked to London), a day before I had my identity stolen. I think this is a precursor type of probe and bigger things are involved... check your email accounts, bank accounts etc... I numerous types of activity occurring and thought it all random. I'm out thousands of dollars and countless hours of work trying to protect my identity and bank accounts.
This robocalled at 8 AM and 11:25 am and left message. Claims to be representing the US Treasury and second notice on criminal enforcement and need to appear before a Federal magistrate. Indian accent and claims his name is Steve Martin. He changed his number but the same scam. Report to US Treasury
