"Jason" at this number is calling me repeatedly so I called AAA to see if they had any information. The calls are legitimate, but even the AAA rep seemed to think its not a great idea. She says they are "retention reps" who are paid by the number of people they get to renew with them, which would explain the number of calls I have received. Its a bad business practice on the part of AAA. I told they guy that I didn't want to give him information and he offered to let me call back and ask to speak to him - which is not a solution (and thereby made me more suspicious, not less). He called me 3 more times during the time I was on the phone with the actual AAA representative. Oy.
A man named Patrick called as a AAA representative and wanted to renew my membership. He wanted my credit card info. He already new name and address. Nice try.

Got a call from Darlene with this number. Said she was from "AAA Salvage" and wanted to know if we wanted to renew at a lower rate. I told her we don't do anything over the phone and she said she would mail out the renewal information to me. No hard sell once I told her we don't do business over the phone. We'll see what comes in the mail.
