I got a text message from this number saying "FIRST SAVINGS ALERT: Your DEBIT/CARD starting with XXXX has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 215-892-1652." When I call it goes straight to a voicemail that uses the automated "The number 2158921652 is not available please leave a message.". To my knowledge I don't even have an account with First Savings, the number comes back as out of Quakertown, PA when I searched it.
UPDATE:. I just got off of the phone with the real First Savings in Quakertown, PA; the customer service rep said that the text messages are a fishing scam. Some stupid low-life scumbags sent out a mass text to a group of numbers hoping that a person with a First Savings account would call and give them their account information. With any luck the police will be able to track and arrest the criminal scum that is doing this.
