called asking for someone else and lied telling me that they told her to call back on this number and she was just talking to her from this number. Funny it's my personal phone that no one but me uses this number, this is not the first time I have gotten this call I have requested several times to be removed and they keep calling back.
This number belongs to ARS Collections who specialize in healthcare collections. Basically they keep their business alive by buying debt that has often been written off by the original owner of the debt so you are not paying the person or company you actually owe the money to when you comply by paying your debt to them. The best way to handle this, I find, is to make arrangements with the company or organization that the debt is actually owed to. That cuts the debt collectors and their harrassment out of the picture.
If ARS is calling you in error, they will never take you off the list unless you spend the money to send them a certified cease and desist letter telling them that you do not owe whoever they are calling about any money and to stop calling your number. They must comply with this by law. If not, you can do an online complaint with your Attorney General and they WILL follow up on it.
