I have received a telephone call from this number everyday for the past two weeks. Each time they leave a message with an automized voice system stating I need to contact them in regard to some account number. I called the number back and the person who answered asked which telephone number they called me at. I told them that they should know, as they contacted me. Then they wanted my full name and asked me to verify my social security number. I stated I would not give them this information and demanded to know what this phone call was in regard to. The person on the other line stated it was in regard to my Home Depot credit card, which I do not nor have never had. When I asked them why they were calling me instead of Home Depot corporation, they hung up on me.
They then called again, and I returned the phone call. The person who answered said "hello?" (really professional for a "legitimate business") and I stated I wanted to know who this was and why I have received numerous calls from them. The person stated that he was a manager and I probably received a call from one of his business associates. He asked which number I was calling from. I told him that he should know, and I demanded to know what the "nature of their supposed business" was. He stated he could not divulge this information to me as it was confidential. I told him to stop calling this number and that he and his "company" will be reported, as they are phishing for information.
When I looked this number up on intelius, it was listed as "residential."
