i got a call at 9:08 pm but i played dumb on him. I hang up, he called again. My daughter and husband said to stop taking to him. I blocked him so he can call me again. I know ....it was b.s.call, scammer.
Call at 10:30PM PDT, saying in a heavy South Asian accent he was from the "internet security department". At first he didn't specify a company, but when I asked he stammered and then said Microsoft. He said my service will be shut off for six months, and when I asked him what service he was talking about he hung up. I don't subscribe to anything internet security-related from Microsoft (not even anything free, except I do get the periodic Windows updates like everyone else), and I didn't even know this was an Ohio number until I Googled it....so this is most definitely a scam.
Said Univ hospital so I answered. The man had a very heavy Indian accent. He said they were calling to tell me I had an extremely low credit score and wondered if I knew why. I told him that my credit score is none of his business and that I knew he was lying in order to scam me. I hung up. He didn't call back
Got a call from this number at midnight and I was pissed. Tried calling back and all I got was a modem at the other end. I'm on the do not call list, but it doesn't stop them at all
Got a call from this number. Comes up as from Ohio. Called at 10:30pm at night. What the hell? He told me he would have to disconnect my Telus internet. I told him I don't have Telus, not to call my house at 10:30pm at night, and never call this number again. JERKS. What a hoax
I got a call today today from 1 216-201-4565. She was very angry and said she was going to shut down our Internet service because of dangerous things in my computer. This is the second time I got this sort of call from India. The event viewer is what they tried scaring me with the last time. I had over a thousand red flags and thought they were legit. This time I wised up. Don't let the Event Viewer scare you. It' all normal stuff your machine is trying to do but can't because you deleted a program and such.
