caller hangs up when phone is answered

unidentified caller with this number and left no message. I called the number and there was a recording stating that it is some agency and to remove my number from their list.

Obviously a telemarketing call. Probably from J.P. Morgan Chase because they are trying to sell credit cards and home equity mortgages,

Yes, I too have been getting these calls in the late evening. Like clockwork around 8:30pm I receive the call, I finally answered lastnight and the person hung up. It is very annoying and it is driving me crazy.

Same here. The person called at 8pm and hung up.  Heard noise (perhaps some conversation chatter) in the background, until hang up.

I heard the same thing - chatter on my answering machine - it has happened multiple times.
