The caller ids himself as "John," and he supposedly is calling to send a free medical alert system. He calls from many different numbers, and it is a recording. I consider it abuse of the elderly the way that this medical alert company supports this type of calling. I have received the same call from at least four different numbers, in spite of being on the DO NOT CALL list. I recommend blocking the number or filing a harassment complaint.
I received a call about setting up delivery for "my" medical alert system (we did not order anything like this!). The man refused to stop his script when I asked, but you could tell it was live because he paused when I asked him a question.
The exact same number just called me moments ago, i didnt answer and they left a voicemail asking about medical supplies "ive fallen and i cant get up" machine.
I received the same phone call just now. Live agent, telling me the device was ready to ship. I told him I knew it ws a fraudulent phone call, and I was reporting it. Then I pressed my "flash" key to act as if I was calling another number. I then heard him say "Thank you. We won't be calling you again."
I redc a call re, a medical alert bracelet, apparently it was someone employeed, "reading from a screen". When I interrupted her and asked her if it was free, she would not answer, saying if you'd let me finish sir I will finish reading. I interrupted again, a second time, and she told me "rudely, to let her finish. She was disgruntled, as I could tell. I told her if she wouldnt answer my question than direct me to someone who could. She continued reading off her screen, I interrupted a third time requestin that she answer my question. She denied. I asked to speak to her supervisor, who she claimed was busy. I said, I was not busy and willing to be placed on hold and wait for her supervisor to take my call and answer my question. She than chuckeled and said alright. No one ever came to answer my call on "hold" after 25 minutes.
