political call, wouldn't leave a message, googling shows its a cell phone.

I do not answer any questions about politics or personal life to any phone number that doesn't have a brick and mortar name and address.  How do we know where these calls come from?  I can call you and say that my name is so and so, and I'm from such and such, but how do you really know?
Also, the caller knows who they're calling but the receiver doesn't know who's calling...that just seems a** backwards for privacy, doesn't it?!?
