Scam call from (216) 307-1474. What surprises me are the posts that suggest there are some people who are surprised by these calls and want to believe they are from a legitimate caller. C'mon people! A caller ID that says "FINAL NOTICE" is going to be a scam!
The BEST thing you can do it warn your family members and friends about these calls (especially the elderly). Tell them to NEVER give out ANY personal information to ANY caller. The Federal government is worthless when it comes to these annoyances. It is up to us to fight back. The best ways are to warn friends and families, block calls, and, when all else fails, totally screw around with the callers and keep them on the line as long as possible to keep them from making more calls.
Phone rang with another call from this number. I'm on the government's NO CALL LIST. My daughter bought me a referee whistle which I won't hear since I'm hard of hearing the way it is.
FCC Complaint form is easy to fill out at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
I am on the do not call list as well and found that address to report them too from someone else that posted the link ages ago when i looked up a number on who called me and thought i would pass it on as it does work but its really slow in getting a reply back after filling out the form.
Person called said they are from "a processing center" and my car warranty is expiring...questioned her and she hung up on me immediately after asking what "Processing Center" and who calls themselves "Processing Center". Called the dealer, warranty is perfectly OK....Tried calling the number back multiple times and a "fast busy signal"...SCAM. Reported to AT&T and I will keep trying the number to bug the [***] the next few days.
