Had a call from this number, i was in a rush so I didnt have time to be my normal FULLY un-helpful self..
But anyway, they called saying that they could tell that my computer was infected with a virus and that i needed to follow her steps to get rid of it.
What she didn't know was that she is talking to a Network Designer for IBM.
ME - "How do you know my computer is infected"
IDIOT "Because your ISP routes through our servers"
ME - "Who is my ISP ?"
IDIOT - "That doesn't matter. You must follow my instructions to get rid of this virus"
ME - "Cricky you must be right. Yes I will follow your instructions not a problem. Now tell me, which one of my computers is infected ? I have several"
IDIOT - Your main one
ME - They are all main ones. Tell you what, give me the IP Address of the infected one and i will go straight to it.
IDIOT - ermmm.. ITS JUST YOUR MAIN ONE (getting angry now)
ME - Will it be the one running slowest ?
IDIOT - yes use that one.
ME - Ok just give me a minute.

IDIOT - Have you turned it on yet ?
ME - Oh yes,
IDIOT - Right, you need to download this software which will rem...
ME - Can i just stop you right there..... I fired up all eight of my computers and i am currently running a performance test to see which one is the slowest. Please bare with me.
