A male caller, from this # called my home number, I let it go to the answering machine and he asked for me by my first name...I did not pick up....I rarely answer numbers I don't recognize.
Call came in at 8:52pm. I did not answer, no message left. I have a phone blocker that should not have rung my phone unless the caller was human & listened to the message telling them to put me on their dnc list if they're a telemarketer, & gave them a number to press if they're a friend of the family, & they would have had to press that number for friends of the family. The nerve!!!! The only other way my phone would have rung for them is if the robocalls now can get around the phone blocker. It only rang once. It's infuriating that I had to spend money on a phone blocker just to be able to limit the use of my phone to me & my friends & family, but now they're ringing my phone anyway! We need to get legislation passed that forces these people to pay us for their use of our phone service. I pay the phone bill, I should be able to choose who uses it, & be compensated for any use of my phone line that I did not authorize. Even when a call is blocked from ringing my phone, I still have to wait for them to disconnect before I can use my own phone!
