Debt is civil, not criminal. You cannot be arrested in the USA for a debt. Threatening you with arrest over a debt is illegal. The big problem is that your 'debt collector' is probably sitting in a boiler room in Asia. Millions of Americans are being called by 3rd world criminals, trying to extort money on fake debts. Ask for proof in writing, by US Mail. Not fax, text, or email. Tell them to mail it, or bugger off (that's with 2 x g's)
