Called claiming to be Bank of America Card Services and said it was "imperitive" that I call them back and gave a 1-800 number. As I have never in the 14 years I've been with Bank of America recieved such a call I figured it was a scam and didn't call back.
Then they called my Brother in another state, and then my Mother in another state, both calls the person was rude and harrassing.
Called Bank of America's fraud division and the mysteriously "can not confirm or deny that these calls were made from a legitimate agency of Bank Of America" but that "we'll put you on a no-call list which will take 30days to take effect."
This sounds to me like it was them and they don't want to admit it.
Called for Howard or Harold - neither who live here but we have had calls at our number for a Harold before. Said he was looking for him and wondered if we knew this guy or were a relative of his. We are not so I said so.
Asked for our credit card numbers, social security card numbers, personal name and address information. Called our cell phone number, didn't know who they were calling. Said they were trying to help us 'get out of trouble' where we owed money, but wouldn't say what company, what credit card, etc. Identity theft scam.
