Got a call from BOA wanting $296. Couldn't do it. Following month they took $296. from my checking account. Unauthorized, my bank said I had authorized a 1 time ach, and this gave them authorization to get in my account and have a party.
This is Bank of America. I answered. 3 weeks later $300 was missing from my bank account. If you EVER make a one time payment, even years back, by phone or website they keep this information as proof of authorization, and have access to your bank account forever. Be careful, they WILL get you ! They are so sneaky they have ways of getting money from you that you haven't thought of.
This number is a collection call from Bank of America. It used to be FIA Card Services of MBNA, but now is part of BoA's in-house service/collections operations for credit card debts. They are very aggressive in the collections game. They will call you from a dozen or more different call centers around the country so that a whole bunch of strange numbers will start showing up on your caller ID. They hope to trick you into answering so they can pressure you to pay a debt or to buy one of their card related services.

A debt collection call from a Bank of America employee, not a recording. His message was directed at "Camelot Systems" (that's not me of course), and he added the catch-phrase "concerning preexisting business with you." That's a tip off that it's debt collection, because they're only allowed to ignore the No Call List if they have preexisting business.
