Called today on my land line phone. I invested in a Panasonic phone with the ability to block phone numbers. (helps quite a bit). Works great but still requires me to take the time to block them and sometimes spammers resort to using another number. Don't feel that the Do Not Call list is working. I know that Time Warner has something to block robo calls but I have not tried it. I need to check it out further. Its callled norobo (I believe that is the correct spelling).
Lydia, you can also go to the TWC website and enter numbers into the system that they will (supposedly) block at their end. They allow for 30 blocked numbers there, which is great added to the 30 we can block at our phone. Still not enough but it helps if you keep track of who's stopped calling and swap out the numbers periodically to keep up with the new permutations.
