This phone number has previously called me on my cell phone, to which I have this number blocked through the Call Control app.
Got a call again this morning from these rouse of a caller but the app would not let the call through, although a voice mail was left. It was a robo call in a perky "female" voice. "The education department is now able to allow college loans to be forgiven! Blah, blah, blah." Department of education for who? The US Government? The State? Which college entity? Not a word about that. This is an attempt to gain one's personal information for identity theft and I'm sure they ask to fork over some kind of financial information or credit card. Do not fall for this!
My Call Control app was able to identify this caller as a SCAM call. With the intent of getting one's information, this is not a prank. It is a blatant criminal attempt to defraud and harass. Therefore I will leave the "Call Type" as Unknown because there is NO Scam option by 800Notes.
