Called about windows o/s not working properly. Stated that several error reports were received and my computer will crash if not fixed. Took over my computer using teamviewer. Showed me several corrupt files. When I did want to purchase the software he stated I required, he entered a startup password. When i questioned it he said not to to worry. The next day I did a scan with norton and now cannot get my computer going because this startup password is required which I don't know. I called them asking about it. They say they can't help me if I don't provide the name of the person who called me.
I'm an IT tech and this is a scam. Nobody will ever call you and tell you there's problems. Report this to your local cyber crime unit. They will try and get remote access to your computer and lock you out.
