You have just revealed yourself as an information challenged person!
1. The DNC list IS respected and observed by legitimate telemarketers!
2. The DNC list is for private (not business) phones. You have admitted that you are a business!
I'm not information challenged but I'm pretty dumb. It's impossible to know how many calls one avoids by being on the DNC list, but I certainly know that I get many calls from illegitimate telemarketers. I wonder sometimes whether by devious means and ways they obtained my number from the DNC list. In any case, I also got a call blocker. I use Mr Number on my cellphone and Ooma on my home phone. Both are a big help. I've blocked 100s of numbers, but I suspect that with my last dying effort I'll be blocking a telemarketer.
Aside from auto-dialers there is many other ways numbers can be obtained. Where I live the DMV is one of the biggest sources of telephone numbers. Top that with the various frequent buyer programs people join and etc.
