- Received a text messages saying my bank card was deactivated and to call 217-481-5084. I called back and the automated voice asked for my card number - I hung up - this is a scam!
This is a text message from the number 217-503-8191. They send you a text saying they are CARD SERVICES ALERT and that your bank card has been temporarily been deactivated. then they want you to call this number: 217 481 5084. I immediately called my bank because my bank doesn't send me text msgs; they personally call me. They said it was a scam and that I was smart not to call the number. My bank has reported them. I hate it! I just pray they haven't emptied any of the elderlys' accounts!!!!
