The best way to mess with these people is tell them you'll donate so have them send you a bill then send it back with no money and write on the bill to take you off their list. They get no money and it cost them postage.
Just got a call from this number and it said "Public Awareness"? No voicemail message. I'm not calling them back but surely there has got to be something we can do to stop them...are they not subject to the Do Not Call list?
Have been receiving calls from this number for several days. Never leave a message. After reading comments, glad I haven't answered this.
Nothing we can do to stop this as "charities" are exempt under the Federal DNC laws.
This scammer's phone is registered to the Polish Protectiion Fund, but says on the phone he's collecting for the police. Calls frequently. He uses a computer call to see if I'm home. I don't answer it. I've asked him for years to stop. He gets indignant.
