Getting calls from 217-499-8268 several times a day, and as early as 6am. Person (male voice with an Indian accent) claiming to be from the technical department at Windows and telling me there is a problem with my computer. Both my husband and I have asked him not to call since I am not well but the calls continue and are increasing in frequency.
3 call from this number in the last 24 hours. Man with an indian accent claims that my computer has downloaded malware and is sending messages to their server and asks if I aware that my computer is affected with this malware? I told him that I do not own a Windows computer (I own a Mac) and ask how he got my number and he apologized and hung up.
Did not answer, but calls up to 6 times per day. No idea where they got my number. Haven't filled anything out recently. My answer and just say I have a mac. Seems telling them NOT to call doesn't work based on other posts about the same number.
