I received a call from this number at the end of last week and it was a man on the line who sounded like he was using a fake voice. He started spewing off about donations for military veterans, but never addressed what organization or company he was with. Just starting listing off donation amounts and how much I wanted to contribute. I asked how he got hold of my number and he paused briefly and said it was in some database. Overall it was very sketchy, and I said I was going to pass on the opportunity. As soon as I said that he hung up. No, "Thank you for your time today" or follow up information about donating in the future. I'm all for supporting our troops, but this had scam written all over it. Especially with it being the start of Memorial Day Weekend, I was very afraid he would get money out of people because of that.
Received call and the listing showed "Scam Likely". No one on the line after answering. My cell carrier has new service that will identify suspected scam calls.
