a friend from work got scammed for $250.00 for a anti virus pertection software that they had him load into his computer. AKA...(Virus!!!)
So not only do they have his $250 But also his visa number & access to his PC as well.
Poor Jack!
Receive calls weekly, sometimes 2-3 times each week claiming to be from microsoft windows support, informing me of error messages that they are receiving and want me to sign on to my computer.
Checked them out. This page is very helpful. They have called me 5 times in the last 3 minutes after I told them I checked them out and they are bogus. They don't give up. I told them I'm recording the call and reporting them to the FTC and my local authorities. So far,no more calls.
Scam artists; allegedly from Microsoft telling me their "lead technician" (AKA "The Head Scam Artist") is "seeing" viruses on my computer.
#1 - Microsoft CALLS NO ONE!
#2 - They cannot "see" anything on your computer
#3 - I wish I could figure out where they were so I could go beat the c_ _ _p out of them.
