It's a scam IRS called you owe money. First IRS never ever calls they mail letters. These type of callers need to be stopped especially the elderly will get really nervous and may get scammed . How can we stop them.
Robo call claiming "Final Notice, the IRS is filing a Lawsuit..."
If you pick up the phone you then get connected to the scammer who says if you give them a Credit Card Payment or send a partial payment via Western Union they wont file.
If you call the number back to get the "case number" you will either find the number was spoofed, the number is disconnected or not in service, or it actually is a cheap VoIP phone line the scammer is using to build a verified gullible person phone list to sell to other scammers.
At least this scammer used a good sounding computer synthesized voice to make the pitch. The last IRS scam call I got had a person with an accent so thick I had to listen to the phone message 5 times to figure out what scam they were running.

The phone # they used was 217-828-9135. The robo voice said that I was getting a "final notice" from the IRS and that it's filing a lawsuit against me and to call this area 217 number. Very stupid.
