No caller id=great likelihood it is a scammer. Other comments point out that this number has been used for fake cancer research and police charities.
People I know and want to talk to use caller id. Scamming criminals use a location or just a number. And best of all, no valid caller id=BLOCKED!
Calls once almost every day. My phone is set to block this number, so it rings once, then goes silent. You’d think they’d give up! Must be a robo dialer. I’ve tried to call the number back, but recording states that this number “is temporarily unavailable.” Some times the call numbers are preceded by a Zero, other times by a One (1-217-892-0635) and (since I live in area 217) sometimes without the area code. Blocked every time.
It’s now close to the end of January, 2017, and the calls from this number (one per day, every day, but at different times) are still being blocked. I guess I can look forward to a single ring on my phone for the rest of my life! Sigh....
