Received phone call to my work cell from 218-210-8753 which showed caller ID as MN, USA.
Listened to rhetoric (Interest rate lowering etc. followed by a notice of lucky caller 15 to be eligible for a cruise). Continued through prompts until I spoke with a female (appearing to have good "ghetto" english communications). No personal information was asked until person answered stating "Credit Card number please"......................Then I identified to female that I did not want any further calls and the number they are calling belongs to a Bank Fraud Unit.
Caller stated "Do you know how stupid that sounds?".........and immediately hung up. Attempted to call number back 5 more times and it rings twice then disconnects. Apparently that is how you get your number removed or blocked from their caller system.............lol..............anyhow........I will report this number to additional LE sources and update with this blog as necessary. Anyone else have similar experiences? Good luck and report these call to your internal IT teams as well...........Cali
These scammers tried my phone. Windows Phone makes it so easy to block these fools, so I just added this number to the list.
It would be nice if these folks were caught, and when they are hanging by their toes, all of us victims get to come by and use them for soccer practice.
That's my nice language version of what I want to do for them in return for their kind services....
