Received a call at 6:00 a.m. Completely inappropriate to be calling at that hour. No one spoke when I answered. I only answered because I couldn't see caller ID and thought it may be an emergency.
Lots of noise in the background, finally a male voice, seemingly unsure of himself, like a scam artist in training, Indian accent, came on to tell me he was calling re: problems with my computer. I said my computer was fine and hung up.
Called today. They call everyday. Decided to waste their time. Let them go thru scam spiel and pretended to do tasks asked then I said, "wait, I have a Mac" which angered them and they hung up.
Great response from "Kitty" above. Sometimes it's fun to reel them in: "I'm really interested in why you are calling, but first let me introduce you to the Church of Frederick. This will take only about 30 minutes." (Click).
This caller calls at the worst times, early, late, and when I answer, no one is there or someone says they are working for Micro-soft and have a trouble call about my computer, I tell them they are a scam and hang up. Other times I told them I wanted no more of their trash, they excused themselves and said they would put me on the no-call list. When I call this number back I get the standard "this number is disconnected, please be sure you called the right number"
